Square on Tuesday will start letting business owners get some market research and pr on the cheap.
The company is introducing Square Feedback, a feature on its receipts that asks consumers "How was your experience?" Feedback also prompts those customers to give details and start a conversation with the business. Square will charge $10 per month for the feature, though the first 30 days are free.
This latest feature comes as Square is now processing about 10 million receipts per month, which can be emailed or printed. The company argues that Feedback will give merchants invaluable insights into their customers.
